I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of our household. He will only be with us temporarily...until Christmas Eve, to be specific. He's been here for well over a month now, off and on. He's here all day long, and from what we understand he leaves when we're sleeping.
Meet Bob.
Bob is an elf sent to our home from the North Pole. He hangs out here during the day, although he's under the strictest of orders from the Big Guy (Santa Claus) himself. Bob is not allowed to move, not allowed to talk, and not allowed to communicate with us whatsoever. When we go to bed at night, he heads back to the North Pole to report directly to Santa. He tells Santa whether the kids have been good or bad. If they listen, keep their toys picked up, share, and if they're nice to each other. We never see Bob move, although he does so every day or so. We've found him in some strange places... on top of the microwave, in Carter and Jordyns room, even hanging out on the light above the kitchen table! This Bob is quite the peculiar fellow, but he does keep the kids in check! ;)
A little male bonding time...
And hanging out in the boys Christmas treeThe kids know they can't touch Bob, or he'll lose his powers. He's even sent his friend/brother/cousin/whoknowswhat to Grandma and Grandpas house, so when the kids are there visiting, the elves are still watching!
You can find out more about Bob *here*... Believe me, Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles, neighbors down the street.... he's worth it!!

We are expecting Bob's friend Tinsel to visit us anyday now!
Wow!! Dr. Becca said today one of the "family" members is hanging out at their house, too. Santa must have a LOT of elves on kiddie patrol!!
Every morning multiple kids come tell me where they found their elf that morning - what a fun tradition to start with your kids! You'll be able to keep this up for years - I have 3rd graders and they still LOVE it.
