Happy Tuesday!

Well we had ourselves a WONDERFUL Tuesday!! Once I picked the kids up from their daddys house, we headed to the park to meet Grandma! We played for awhile, and even ran into Sofie and Sam with their Grandma Jane! The kids played a bit, and once it started sprinkling we headed to Wendys for some grub! Hope you all were able to enjoy this bit of nice weather we've been having! I know we're getting spring fever!!!

Love the fact that my son {who LOVES food} is eating his Frosty with 2 spoons! Now that, my friends, is brilliant! You know, you can just never shovel the ice cream in quite fast enough with just 1 spoon.....

Dinospiderbatman!!

Love this! My sister sent me this picture today of my oldest nephew. He really didn't understand why she wanted to take his picture!! Priceless is the mind of a 4 year old!!!!

Flashback

So I was just going through my folder of 'blog' pictures and realized there are a TON I never posted. Some that I thought you all deserved to see...just for a reason to smile!! These 2 are from my work Christmas Party when the kids met Santa. Jordyn agreed she would stand by him, but would NOT sit on his lap. Drew, well, yeah he didn't so much even want to STAND by him.... . ;) Maybe next year!!

Now I'm off to church....with no kids, maybe I'll actually get to hear the WHOLE service! ;) Happy Sunday!!

Journey to Jennifer

Well, it's been over a week since my original post, and I can't believe the impact!! Seriously, I knew I had quite a few readers, but wow!! I've had more people than I EVER would have imagined tell me that I inspired them. Me....little old me.....INSPIRING people!! Amazing!! It's so great to have the support of so many people, and to have so many of you joining me in the 'quest' to find ourselves! ;) I'm so excited to see where this journey takes me/us.
I weighed in today, and the results shocked me! I lost 6.2 lbs!!! How exciting! That is the kind of motivation that will keep me going! Now, I know that's a relatively high number for a week, but keep in mind the first week or 2 you lose mostly water weight. {Look at me, soundin like some expert! haha!} But it's true, so I'm not looking for that kind of a number every week, but every little bit counts! Lets keep it up everybody...I'd love to hear your progress as well!!
AND, just for kicks, I have a couple of pictures to share! I was looking through old pictures tonight and found prom pictures from high school! The first one is from my senior prom. LOVED that dress!!! And the second one is my junior prom. Can you believe I was thin?! :) {excuse the blurry-ness please, took pics of pics with my cell!!}

Devil with the blue dress, blue dress, blue dress, devil with the blue dress on!!!

New and Improved Barbie?

Ok, I know I sent this picture to a lot of you, but not ALL of you! I think everyone needs to see this. Mom, the KIDS and I went to Toys R Us this past weekend. As we were browsing around the store, I noticed THIS Barbie among a whole display of them. I guess this is part of the 'Americas Next Top Model' Barbie collection. I don't care who or what it is supposed to represent. I don't care about the color of her skin or the shape of her face. I care about the fact that my 4 year old daughter love LoVe LOVES Barbies, along with the majority of other little girls her age and older. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but childhood is a very impressionable part of life. Probably more-so than adulthood. I understand that times have changed. I understand that when Barbies first came out, people were horrified by the fact that she was so 'mature'. Now, we've come to accept that. I mean maybe she went to visit Dr 90210 and have a little Nip Tuck...who knows! But I'm not worried about my daughter wanting a chest like Barbie. However, when they sell some Barbies with matching child-size outfits so kids can dress like their Barbie, and then have this on this shelf next to it, something just screams WRONG to me!!
We shall call her Provacitive Barbie! Or maybe Super Seductive Barbie....and if you squeeze her hand she says "Say Hello to my little Friends"........

Man oh MAN!!!

Well, my son is officially turning into a man. I mean yes, he's still very young, not even 2. He doesn't use too many words yet, although he definately makes his opinions known. He's mouthy, he's independent, and at this stage of the game he's still very proud of the 'manly' 'sounds' he can make. He loves having his pants off, and more than that he loves to be in only a diaper. He flirts with girls, he'll kiss anyone that will let him. He will belch at the dinner table, toot in public, and scratch anything that itches. He's all boy, and it shows already!! I caught him recently showing off his manliness at my grandmas. He was sagging his diaper. Yes, you know, like guys sag their jeans? Come on, you know it's the cool thing to do!!! He was wearing no shirt or pants, and he was scratching his rump! You may or may not think this photo is blog-worthy, but keep in mind this is my own scrapbook. This picture WILL be brought out later in this boys life... ;)
