We finally got pictures back on the computer! I'm just going to put them into about 4 posts, so the next 4 posts will have quite a few pics! Just bear with me while I get you all caught up! :)

Another video of the kids playing. Drew is in the Jumperoo, don't worry, he did not suffer whiplash, and we do get him out of that Jumperoo sometimes.....but he LOVES it! :) Make sure your volume is up so you can hear Drews giggles! LOVE these kiddos!!

Tuesdays update...

7 more days until my birthday! :)

Todays update... Went to the doctor at 12:20, she saw Jordyn and I both. Jordyn definately still has some infection in her ear. Dr Becca wasn't surprised at all, since it hadn't really been treated since she had only 1 dose of the first med and 2 doses of the second! She went ahead and wrote a script for a 3rd med, and wanted us to go ahead and fill the script they had given her Friday for her eyes. She said it most likely started with a lot of sinus pressure, that's why the eyes were seepy, and ended up getting backed up causing the ear infection. She wants to see her back in 10-14 days to make sure it's cleared up.
As for me, they did a strep test, which was negative. She said she is guessing it's Farengitis (sp?) or something along those lines. She said my throat is very swollen and red, doesn't look good. She said just because the strep was negative doesn't mean there isn't another kind of infection. She gave me an antibiotic and also wrote a prescription for a stronger anti-inflamatory to help be able to talk and swallow! YAY!! I just took my first dose, so cross your fingers!! Hopefully we'll be able to get back into the swing of things and I can get back to work TOMORROW! :)

Mondays Update

Well...good news is there is now only 8 days until my birthday....

Bad news...
Jordyn has to go back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon. Once she broke out from the first med, we had the dr call in a second med. Well, it's one that she has had before and tolerated just fine, but she broke out in hives again!!! We didn't give her a dose yesterday, and I called the dr back today. They want her regular dr to see her tomorrow and do a re-check. They want to see if there is still infection in her ear to warrant finding a 3rd medicine to try. If not, we're home free, if there is still infection, then we'll have to look at other options. She's acting and looking MUCH better, but we haven't had to give her the Benedryl since we quit giving her antibiotics. She still isn't sleeping well, and is still very tired and grumpy, but we can tell an improvement. Cross your fingers that she is fine now.
As for me....LOL I woke up Saturday morning and COULD NOT move my head or neck. WHy? Who knows! But I took some painkillers on Saturday and pretty much layed on the couch without moving ALL DAY. I finished reading a book I got for Christmas (Twilight - LOVED it! Wasn't sure it was my type of reading, but I'm addicted!!) and slept. I made it through Saturday, Sunday I didn't feel great. Had a bit of a nauseated feeling all day and just had an icky feeling. My neck just felt like a typical stiff neck that you wake up with once in awhile. Today...missed work, yeah...first day back and I wasn't there....GO ME! I wanted to make sure Jordyn was feeling better and try to get her in to the dr. Well, as the morning/afternoon progressed, I felt worse and worse. My best guess at this point is strep or tonsilitis. My throat feels very thick and it's somewhat hard/uncomfortable to swallow. My nose is stuffy and my neck/shoulder is very sore again today. Poor Mike....I really haven't been much help since Saturday!! It hurts to pick up Drew even...not fun!! SO tomorrow when I take Jordyn back to the dr, I think I'm going to have her take a look at me too! Hopefully we will both get some antibiotics (that work with our bodies) and get back to normal SOON!! This is not fun for either of us, but I feel TERRIBLE for Mike!! Say a prayer for us tonight...we'd appreciate it! :)

Let the countdown begin!!

That's right, people, only 11 days until my birthday, and really actually closer to 10 days away!! I know, I know, you are all excited, but we have a few more days to wait!! :)

ANYWAY.... it's now January, and many of you know, that usually brings a sick child our way. This year is no exception! We took Jordyn to the doctor this morning because she had a VERY rough couple of days. She's been very grumpy and ouchy, but also was starting to get red, seepy eyes and I saw her grab at her ear a couple of times. She has her first ear infection! We got a 2 prescriptions, one for her ear, and one for her eyes and any congestion. Well, the pharmacy didn't carry the one for her eyes, so they are getting it in and we can pick it up Monday. Not bad, right? ? WRONG! Nothing is ever quite THAT easy for us!! We went home and gave her the first dose of the antibiotic, and within 15 minutes she was saying "Look, Mommy, I'm all red and bumpy!" Yep, HIVES!!! We called the doctor back right away, and had to go back to the pharmacy. They called in a new med and we started Benedryl for the hives, (which should hopefully also help with her eyes). She got the first dose of the second med, and has now had 2 doses of Benedryl. She's in bed, but seemed to be doing better. The hives were few and far between, anyway, she's still GRUMPY though!! Can't blame her, ear infections hurt and the Benedryl is making her drowsy and ouchy. Poor girl!! Any prayers you want to send her way would certainly be appreciated!!

Hopefully this second med will work and once we get the other one on Monday, she'll be a brand new girl! I hope you all had an awesome New Year and continue to have a WONDERFUL 2009!!!

I'm Dreaming...

Of A White Christmas..... but only Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning! And until then, lets hope the sun comes out to MELT THIS ICE!!

Anyway...I just wanted to wish each and every one of you a safe and blessed Christmas holiday! And I promise...one of these days we'll get some pictures on here! I hope Santa finds you, but I also hope we can all take a moment to reflect on the true reason for the season...that little baby that was born so long ago..may He be with each and every one of us and keep us warm and safe. I hope all of your prayers are answered, and I hope all of your stockings are full! :)

No Pictures Here!

Sorry, all, we have our computer back, but they had to basically rebuild the darn thing. That means our Kodak program is no longer on the computer. Once we get that loaded again, we'll post some picture updates! Lets face it, that's what everybody likes to see anyway, right?!

I will give you a quick update though... We had Drew baptised last Sunday, so that was a great day. Our family was all able to make it to church for the service, with the exception of my sisters family. Poor Carter was SICK, very sick. He's doing much better, and we will see them sooner than we realize for CHRISTMAS! Drew is still working on teething, we can't see any poking through quite yet, but he's definately trying. He loves to roll around on the floor and wishes he were mobile. We're not ready for that yet, though!!! He can stay in one spot for awhile longer as far as mommy and daddy are concerned! He jabbers a lot, and still has that tongue out all the time! TOO CUTE!! 7 months old already!

As for Jordyn, she is now taking her naps wearing just underwear, no diaper!! We're still using diapers at night, because that's an awfully long time for her right now! One of these days, we'll be diaper free! ( at least for jordyn, we still have a couple years with Drew!! :( ) What a BIG GIRL! ! We are so proud of the progress she's making! She's all ready for school, too bad she has almost a year to wait!! LOL

Mike made it through yet another layoff at work. He just made it through by the skin of his teeth this time, so hopefully there's not another one coming! We're not sure at this point how many hrs they will get each week, though, so we're not out of the woods yet....but at least he still has a job!

As far as I'm concerned, we're working overtime at work, so I'm very thankful for that!! It's hard to get the hours in, but I'm doing all I can, because we can use the extra money!! I'm very lucky to be where I am...in every aspect of my life! No complaints here! I'm hoping to get the Christmas tree put up this week. I mean, it is December now...(we won't mention that it's December 14!!)...so I'm thinking, what the heck! Might as well get the decorations out, right?! Nothing like the holiday spirit! I'm just trying to focus this year on what this holiday is truly about. I think we all tend to lose sight of that in the midst of all the lights, trees, shopping, presents, and food!
